Epic Start to Term 3 with Ted’s Space Dogs Trio

What an exciting start to Term 3 2025 for Ted’s Space Dogs! Our trio of furry ambassadors—Juno, Willow, and Daisy—hit the ground running, visiting six schools across Wellington, bringing joy, learning, and love to students. From cuddles to life lessons, our dogs embodied our tagline of Courage, Compassion, and Consent, teaching key values like using a gentle lead, respecting boundaries, and fostering wellbeing. It’s been a week full of new adventures, wagging tails, and heartwarming moments as we welcomed our newest pup in training, Juno, to the programme. Read on to see how each dog shone in their unique way!

Willow Struts Her Stuff

Willow, our seasoned superstar, strutted into a new school this week, captivating students with lessons on enrichment. She demonstrated how mental and physical stimulation keeps our furry friends happy—and how we can apply the same principles to our own lives!

Through activities like guided walks with a gentle lead, Willow taught students about making choices that support wellbeing, from hobbies to self-care. Her confident presence and knack for connecting with kids sparked meaningful discussions about what enriches our lives. Willow’s compassionate approach, paired with her focus on consent, made her a perfect role model for students learning to care for themselves and others.

Juno’s Grand Debut

Our 4-year-old Labradoodle, Juno, aced her first week in training with Ted’s Space Dogs, diving into school life with boundless enthusiasm! She visited classrooms across Wellington, soaking up cuddles and spreading love wherever she went.

Juno’s been learning the ropes, exploring busy school spaces, and charming everyone with her playful spirit. From sitting quietly during storytime to practicing road crossing safety with students, she’s already showing her potential as a star pupil. Juno’s courage in new environments and her gentle, consent-focused interactions (always ask before patting!) are helping her grow into a pawsome addition, reaching even more students with her infectious joy.

Daisy’s Healing Heart

Daisy brought her special magic to schools this week, melting hearts and easing worries with her gentle, loving nature. Known for her ability to connect deeply with students, Daisy always creates safe spaces where kids could share their feelings and find comfort.

Whether snuggled up beside a student for a cozy, quiet moment or joining a group for an exploring adventure on a calming walk, Daisy’s gentle presence worked wonders in soothing anxieties and fostering emotional healing. Her lessons on using a gentle lead, just like we do with Willow, reinforced our values of compassion and consent, teaching students how small, thoughtful actions create big impacts. Daisy’s warmth truly lit up Wellington classrooms! Plus, Daisy and Juno had a pawsome playdate this week, with wagging tails galore, making new memories and strengthening their bond!

It’s been a whirlwind of tail-wagging fun and meaningful learning for Ted’s Space Dogs this week. Juno, Willow, and Daisy have each brought their unique spark to six schools, teaching students about our core values while building skills like spatial awareness and emotional wellbeing. We’re thrilled to see Juno growing into her role, ready to reach even more students, while Willow and Daisy continue to inspire with their wisdom and love. Stay tuned for more updates (and adorable photos!) as we continue our mission to make a pawsitive impact across Wellington!
